New "The Amazing Spider-man" Images

Every once in awhile Entertainment Weekly debuts something awesome, this would be one of those instances.  In this case we get a combination of movie stills and composed studio shots of characters/costumes from Sony's 2012 release The Amazing Spider-man.

For the first time we get to see the Spider-man costume in full, with the reveal of the red back-spider.  Emma Stone gets her first official reveal as Gwen Stacy and in one shot she is even addressing Peter Parker's wounds.  The first shot of his web-shooters are revealed, with their classic design intact.  Martin Sheen and Sally Field are shown as the younger, hipper Aunt May and doomed Uncle Ben.  Finally, Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) has his first official reveal, and if you look closely you can see all of his reptile research on his desk.  It is rumored that the first official teaser trailer for the film will be attached to Captain America: The First Avenger.  To see all the photos in full detail hit the jump.

These new photos have gotten me even more excited than I already was about this movie.  I still have my reservations about the costume, with its track lines and lack of webbing (replaced by a basketball texture and grid), but I have a theory that they are going to make Peter into a bit more of a skater-type and in that line of thinking this works for me.

What do you think of the images and the costume?
